Promotions
The MT5 deposit bonus is a limited-time promotion that gives you additional trading margin when you fund your Deriv MT5 account for the first time.
When you make your first deposit into an eligible MT5 account (CFDs or Financial), you will receive a 20% free margin bonus on top of your deposit. This bonus is added directly to your MT5 account balance and can be used for trading straight away.
This bonus is added as trading bonus and is used to support your trades, allowing you to open larger positions than your deposit alone would allow. It is not added as a withdrawable balance and cannot be used as cash.
For example, if you add 100 USD to your MT5 account, you receive an extra 20 USD in trading bonus. This gives you more margin to trade with, but the bonus itself cannot be withdrawn.
Any profit you make from trades using the bonus is yours and can be withdrawn, subject to normal withdrawal conditions.
This bonus is available to clients who have never made a deposit before.
You are eligible if:
- You are a new Deriv client, or
- You already have a Deriv account but have never deposited any funds (no first-time deposit)
The bonus applies only when you add funds to any one of the following MT5 accounts:
- Deriv MT5 CFDs account
- Deriv MT5 Financial account
These accounts allow you to trade CFDs across multiple markets such as forex, commodities, stock indices, and 24/7 derived indices.
Make sure you are adding funds to an eligible MT5 account to receive the bonus.
To receive the bonus, you need to complete the following steps:
- Sign up for a Deriv account
- Deposit funds into your Deriv Wallet (minimum 5 USD or equivalent)
- Add funds to your MT5 CFDs or Financial account
- The 20% bonus will be applied automatically to your MT5 account
The bonus is calculated as 20% of the amount you add to your MT5 account, not the amount you deposit into your Deriv Wallet.
This means:
- Only the funds you move into an eligible MT5 account (CFDs or Financial) are considered
- Any funds remaining outside the MT5 account are not included in the calculation
For example: if you deposit 200 USD into your Deriv Wallet but only move 100 USD into your MT5 account, your bonus will be 20% of 100 USD — giving you 20 USD in free margin and the capacity to trade positions worth up to 120 USD.
The maximum bonus you can receive is 100 USD.
This limit is reached when you add 500 USD to your MT5 account (20% of 500 USD = 100 USD).
If you add more than 500 USD, your bonus will still be capped at 100 USD. For example:
- Add 600 USD → receive 100 USD
- Add 1,000 USD → receive 100 USD
No, the bonus itself cannot be withdrawn.
The bonus is provided as trading bonus (margin) to help you trade larger positions and is meant to be used for trading purposes only. It does not form part of your withdrawable balance.
However, any profit you earn from trades made using the bonus is yours and can be withdrawn.
The minimum deposit into your Deriv Wallet is 5 USD (or equivalent in other currencies).
The minimum amount you need to deposit into your MT5 account to activate the bonus is 1 USD.
The bonus is calculated only on the amount added to your MT5 account, starting from that 1 USD minimum. If you add less than 1 USD, the bonus will not apply.
No. There are no trading volume requirements or conditions to unlock the bonus.
Once you fund an eligible MT5 account (MT5 CFDs or MT5 Financial), the bonus is applied automatically and can be used immediately as additional margin for trading.
The bonus is provided as trading bonus (margin) and can be used to support your trades.
This means:
- It helps you open larger positions
- It increases your available margin
- It can help maintain your positions
The bonus cannot be:
- Withdrawn
- Used as cash outside trading
No. The bonus applies only once, on your first time adding funds to your MT5 account.
Any additional funding after the first one will not receive a bonus, even if it is done during the campaign period.
For example:
- First time: add 100 USD → receive bonus
- Second time: add another 100 USD → no bonus
This is why it is recommended to add your full intended amount at once.
Here are some of the few reasons why you did not receive your bonus:
1. You have not added funds to the eligible MT5 account yet
The bonus is only applied when you fund an eligible Deriv MT5 account (MT5 CFDs or MT5 Financial). Depositing funds into your main Deriv Wallet alone does not trigger the bonus.
2. You have already made a deposit in the past
If you have deposited before, you are not eligible for this promotion.
3. This was not your first MT5 funding
The bonus applies only to your first MT5 funding. If you have already funded your MT5 account previously, you will not receive a bonus again.
If you meet all the conditions and still did not receive the bonus, you can contact our live chat support.
No, the bonus applies to your first MT5 deposit only. Subsequent deposits into the same or other MT5 accounts will not earn additional bonus under this offer.
To get the most from the bonus, deposit your full intended amount in a single transaction rather than splitting it across multiple deposits.
Yes. The bonus will expire on 1 April 2026. You'll receive a notification a couple of days before the expiry date as a reminder to review your open positions.
Once the expiry date is reached, the bonus will be removed from your account. Any profits you've made using the bonus will not be affected — those remain yours.
On 1 April 2026:
- The bonus will be removed from your MT5 account
- You will receive a notification before this happens
- Your available margin will decrease accordingly
If you have open positions at the time, this reduction in margin may affect your trades. This means your positions could be impacted if your account no longer has enough funds to support them.
To avoid this, you should review your open positions before the bonus expires.
We'll send you a notification a couple of days before the bonus expires to give you time to do this. We recommend reviewing your open positions carefully before that date to avoid any unexpected impact on your account balance.
Any profit you made while using the bonus remains in your account and is not affected by the removal of the bonus.
